I have been an avid collector for over 50 years. Now that I am pushing 70, I am being encouraged to sell off my collections so my son won't be overwhelmed with all my stuff. I am in the process of moving my home office to another room in the house and listing a lot of small items that were in a massive display case that I had to move. As I look through the pile that came out of the cabinet I am surprised and a little amazed because I do not remember owning or even getting many of the things that are in there. I have not even seen many of the items for 40 years.
I worked for The Pillsbury Company for 22 years. One of the things the company would do from time to time is give employees small advertising items like pens, or coffee cups, and even things like this watch. This is my "Pillsbury Doughboy" advertising watch from 1994. The watch is new-in-the-box with the original leather wristband and warranty paperwork. This is an analog quartz watch so the battery from 1994 is obviously dead. I did not want to replace the battery and risk scratching the case.
