SUNDAY QUARTER PAGE COMIC STRIP

The PENNY comic strip, created by Harry Haenigsen, was 

in print from June 27, 1943 to October 25, 1970.  Haenigsen’s 

assistant, Bill Hoest, was a major contributor to this strip

 from 1965 to 1968.  The strip concluded with 

Haenigsen's retirement in 1970.
