I was told it is a casserole handle

It is a removable caddy handle for a dish or plate

Don't know the age exactly but it has been in the family since at least the early 1900's.

Very Nice Engraved Silver-plated Item

It's Marked EPNS with a Makers Mark of an S overlaid with a c, in a cirlcle.

Approximately 7 1/2" wide, 5 1/2" tall overall

The handle is Approximately 1" at it's widest with the attachment prongs about 1 3/4" wide.

The Pictures are of the actual item

Feel free to ask questions or enlighten me as to what it is.
