Most pre-owned ties are like bespoke fragrances or tailor made clothes in that you’ll be the only one at the party wearing it. That’s the point. And, it’s a conversation starter! I think most ties are limited production seasonal offerings by the designers.

I buy eBay brand padded bubble mailers (from eBay) to ship single purchase neckties. Smaller size manila bubble mailers are what I use for most freestyle bow ties. I neatly roll the ties, place them in baggies, and pack them in the bubble mailers. For multiple quantity orders, I may box the items. You can trust my care and judgement.

Several ties by a couple of such European makers were in various high-end estate cleanout collections I got, but ties with those names are definitely more rare to come across! It may not seem that way considering the quantity of stuff on eBay. But, take away all the el fako merchandise and misrepresentations, and there’s a slimmer selection out there than it would appear.
