For your consideration is a stunning gravy boat with separate underplate in the Haddon pattern by W. H. Grindley & Co., Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. This original antique set dates to 1891-1914. Each piece is decorated with a cobalt blue floral motif against a glossy, bright white background and has scalloped rims and raised designs. The underplate measures about 9.25" by 5.5." It's in very good condition: No stains, crazing, cracks or repairs; there are a few utensil marks in the center and a tiny shallow chip on the rim. The gravy boat measures about 8.5" by 3.75" by 4" high. It is in good condition: No stains, cracks or repairs; there is overall crazing, a tiny shallow chip on the upper side of the spout and a rough underneath ridge from over a century of shelf life. Marked on the bottom of each piece:  Haddon  Trade  Mark  (a ship and globe)  W. H. Grindley & Co. England  FB. The gravy boat is also marked 14; the underplate is also marked (?)5 and has a manufacturer's flaw on the mark.
