This is a very interesting and unique piece of Fraternal memorabilia. Like most fraternal pieces, this was used in a ceremony that remains a secret. When we found this box it was with four others, each different in color, size and name. They are made of 1" thick solid wood and have beveled edges. They show signs of wear which varies on each one, please see photos. 

This one is named "Purity", which has always been an important word in the Fraternal world. The box is painted off white with the word hand painted on the two sides. It is also hollow and is 24" long x 20" wide and 8 1/2" high. The inside dimensions are  22" x 18 1/8" x 7 3/4".
