Three Stooges in Idle Roomers (Columbia, 1944). Very Fine-. Autographed Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14").
The Stooges are bellhops at a hotel, where a vaudeville couple is staying who bring a carnival attraction called Lupe the Wolf Man. The beast is tame unless it hears music, which makes him go berserk. The Stooges don't know this until Curly plays the trombone and mayhem begins. This short was the debut of Christine McIntyre in the Stooge shorts. These two cards both picture the Wolf Man, and the card showing the Stooges on instruments has pinholes and a tear in the upper right border. There is smudging in the borders and brown paper tape on the verso. The card picturing the trio in the cage steamer trunk appears to have been used previously to pin an 8" X 10" photo on the verso as there are pinholes in the upper and lower left and right of the card. There are also pinholes in the four border corners. The card is signed, Elwood Ullman, a writer on many of the Stooges shorts.
