I started my career at a local company call Roush Products in 1982. We were a milling and blending company for whole grain bread mixes, and had our own rail spur to supply the plant with grain rail cars. Sometime before 1989 I had the goal of making an N Gauge scale model of our factory and started buying materials for the project. This tank car was one of the things I bought, along with a number of other N Gauge railcars. My project never got off the ground, mainly because of the 60 hour work weeks I put in at the plant for 32 years.
I am selling my 1980's vintage Like-Like #7718 Reefer Box Car "Swift's Premium". This car is "new-in-the-box" from the 1980's. I have 12 other brand new N Gauge railcars of the same vintage that I will be listing.
I really like these vintage items, but in reality I am never going to do anything with them so I want to end them all to a good home of a railroad enthusiast.
