As each piece is hand finished there will slight differences in the final appearance, this gives individual character to each product

All our Antique Iron Products are submitted to a five-stage Hand Finishing Process. For authenticity, we do not lacquer any of our products, however all are lovingly waxed by hand in the factory in the Yorkshire Wolds. This is a maintenance wax, and serves as a basic protection to moisture.

Our Antique Iron products may show light surface rust if exposed to damp environments. If necessary, this can be easily removed by using light oil (such as WD40) and a fine grade wire wool. Many of our Iron products will age naturally and develop their own patina over time. Should any products arrive with a residue of wax, a wipe over with a cloth is advised.

Installing your handles- please ensure pilot holes are drilled to the appropriate thread size before fitting these handles. drilling a hole too small could result in the screw being forced which could also result in snapped screw heads. screws are soft metal which when forced can break easily, especially in hardwood cabinets. you can also apply a screw wax to the screw thread before installing to help guide the screw into the wood.
