Gorgeous 1940s vintage, hard plastic signed: Mary HOYER doll, lovely knit outfit. This doll was designed by Bernard Lipert for the Mary Hoyer Doll Mfg Co. Reading PA circa 1937. For a original Doll that is 84 years old she is in really nice shape. The only thing I see wrong is one of the tips of her finger is gone.

She has sleepy eyes that open and close. Some times when you stand her up her eyes need alittle help to open fully. Hair lashes no real missing plugs.

Facial paint is still very nice with red rosy lips. Her hair is original to the doll. You will want to reset the hair when she reaches her final destination. The

Hair is mohair and a brownish red unusual color. She is wearing a knit cap made for her with silver detail and tassel. Paint on the doll is original few little rubs but nothing major. The knit dress is so cute made to represent one of her original outfits. The blouse is in nice shape but the skirt has some damage you will want to repair. Couple of knit holes that could be repaired with just some effort. She has matching knit underwear that also needs some attention. The boots are very old I believe original to the doll. They are oil cloth so I am not going to take them off in fear of damage. If you check the Blue Book of Dolls  she lists 350.00 to 450.00. We have started her price low.
