Here we have a stunning raised relief small hunt theme cup. The scene around the side of the cup graphically tells a story of horsemen with their hounds hunting foxes. The molding is perfectly formed with the potter adding braided cabling around the base of the cup. Around the rim and on top of the applied handle is a high gloss mocha accent band. This tiny cup measures only 2 ¾” in height to the rim by 2 ½” across the opening. The underside of the cup has a cartouche used by Ridgway with the number “42” in the center. This number represents the (tiny) size of the cup. This attractive tiny cup survives in original mint condition with no damaged or repairs and would be prized by any collector.
