Victorian Academia Aesthetic CAMEO PENDANT Made w/ NOS Vintage Cameos & Settings

 

This resin cameo is vintage and set in a vintage setting.

Condition:  Handmade using NOS vintage materials -- “New Old Stock. NOS materials are old inventory from costume jewelry companies in the 50's that have gone out of business. These were never sold at retail so they are “new” (meaning unused) but “old” because of their age.

 

About my work:

I make jewelry using vintage materials such as Cameos to make Victorian Style Jewelry &  Scarabs to make Egyptian Style Jewelry.

 

The NOS jewelry parts that I use were made in the 1950s-60s when costume jewelry was very popular in the US. When this trend died down and global competition increased, most jewelry makers went out of business. Their unused stock was bought by suppliers who currently sell this to jewelry makers. This is where I source my materials. I design and make each piece and the number of pieces I make depend on how much materials I have. When I have less than 10 pieces of a design I will state that in my description. (last 4 pictures show examples).

 

Sometimes I use new jewelry parts and I state that in my description. All my cameos, scarabs, and rhinestones are vintage.

 

There are cameos made in China but these are bad copies. (See pictures)
