Coastal Gnome
(https://www.ebay.com/str/coastalgnome) offers for your consideration:
An 18" Long Shortie Skateboard / Surfskate with a skate monster graphic on the bottom. This beastie is lightly used, with a good, solid deck; trucks that are nearly new and wheels that have a lot of life left in them.
Approximate Measurements: 18 inches long and 8.75 inches wide at it's widest point.
We may have gotten the terms wrong in the above paragraph, but this is a short, wide board in a style that didn't exist back in the 1990s when our kids were into the sport nor in the 1960's when "homebuilt" was the only skateboard option available to adventurous kids. Back then Tom and his friends took steel wheels and straight steel rod axles off old roller skates and bolted, nailed, screwed, or somehow attached them to 1" x 6 " pieces of lumber and went looking for the nearest patch of downhill concrete or asphalt to go screaming down (and often go running home crying to get the wounds patched up. :) .
Anyway, this is a really cool skateboard that we hope someone purchases before Tom has one too many and decides to re-live his 60s childhood! PLEASE buy this beauty today!!!
Condition is Very Good, Used. We're not skateboarders (heck,
Tom's in his 60s and all we need is for him to take a dive off this thing and snap a few
bones!!! Young folks don't realize that old age ain't for the feint of heart!!), but we do have kids (now adults) who went through their skate-rat
phase, so we do know a bit about the sport / lifestyle). Having said that, as
far as we can tell from detailed inspection, this board is in great shape and
doesn't appear to have been used much.
The deck (board) is solid and sturdy with some dings, dents and scuffs
from normal use, but no structural issues. The trucks are solidly attached to
the deck and appear to be in great condition - some dust and dirt from use (and
storage), but no structural / mechanical issues. The wheels show signs of light
usage, but they spin freely (and fast) and look like they can take a LOT more
use before they'll need to be replaced.
