Door Frames are printed in silver PLA plastic and the body of the door is a silver corrugated single sided cardboard sheet. Includes Chain loop that can be placed on either side of the door.
Door is approximately 8.5 inches wide by 9.25 inches tall and based on 1/12 scale calculations this door would be 9 foot wide by 9 foot tall in the real world. Keep in mind Model Companies will claim a scale and then make the model larger or smaller than the actual scale. Expressly trucks, where the model company will "monsterize" the truck by oversizing the wheels and violate the scale they are claiming. This means that this 1/12 scale garage door can look smaller next to an oversized model.
You Get: Silver door frame, corrugated cardboard silver sheet, 12 inch of chain with link made into a 6 inch loop and 2 scale yellow barriers.
Note: the corrugated sheet is somewhat soft and can be dented by crushing. Coating the door with a clear epoxy will harden the surface, However for display purposes may not be necessary. Coating the sheet would help to seal the sheet and allow for some weathering painting effects like thin washes of color.
Reason the cardboard corrugated sheet is used is to keep costs down. 3d printing is slow and if this door was completely printed on a large format 3d printer it would take days to complete the build and costs would triple! The corrugated sheet also allows for low cost shipping, in that the large panel can be lightly rolled and shipped in a smaller lighter box.
