Hand-painted miniature portrait on porcelain plaque signed to the bottom right of each by artist Resch. Portrait depicts Louis-Charles-Antoine Desaix de Veygoux - one of the best generals of the Revolutionary Wars. .

On the back of the plaque is a manufacturing mark of Hutschenreuther porcelain factory. This factory was the primary provider of blank porcelain plaques during 19th century.

The portrait is presented in small pierced gilt 19th century frame.

DIMENSIONS   5.25" W x 5.25" H x 0.75" D (measures frame).

CONDITION   Good, minor surface wear to paintings; minor nicks and some discoloration to frames.
