Nikcole Mini-Systems is a series of unique mini-cutting tools for special applications including narrow grooving, threading, turning, copying and an economical means of cut-off in a wide variety of materials. Mini-systems are specially-shaped parallelogram inserts made up of carbide. Nikcole offers these inserts in three grades: C2, C5-PV & C6-PV, making it versatile on a wide range of workpiece materials. The compatible tool holder has only one positive locking insert screw and a unique insert pocket design that assures a repeatable cutting edge location. They provide two cutting edges on one insert and are available in extremely narrow widths ranging from 0.019 inch to 0.125 inch (0.5mm to 3.0mm). Various assortments are made of PVD / TiAlN + TiN or uncoated carbide grades. All tools under the mini-system series are manufactured under ISO 9001. Applications

• Grade C2: Recommended for cast iron and non-ferrous materials.
• Grade C5-PV: Coated grade recommended for machining steels, cutting solid bars to the center and for interrupted cuts.
• Grade C6-PV: Coated grade recommended for machining steels, cutting off and grooving at higher speeds.
