Silicon carbide is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications while Aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral that provides high cut-rate and long life. Convolute construction and clean, uniform wear keep the wheel running smoothly. This type of construction offers a wrapped surface on a standard-sized core while the ""flat"" of the web becomes the cutting tool.
