pulled glass depicting two fish and a turtle within a reef.
Signed along the front by Adriano Dalla Valentina. Measures 11 3/4" tall X 10" wide with a depth of 7 1/8". Mint condition, no nicks, dings, fleabites or wear. Valentina sculptures run in the $9,500 to $30,000 plus range.
About the Artist
Adriano Dalla Valentina was born in
Murano in 1945. He started working in the furnace at the age of ten. For
the following 14 years he worked in numerous furnaces, thus perfecting
his style. Over the years the reputation of a great Master has been
built, a model for future generations.
His virtuosity is expressed in the
refinement of his works: murrine of an inimitable beauty, very fine and
intricate patterns, intense colors as defined, are the cipher of an
elegant aesthetic and an absolute technical mastery. His mastery and
virtuosity guaranteed him collaborations with brands such as Dior and
Gucci, and with artists such as Luciano Dall’Acqua.
Adriano Dalla Valentina shared his
experience with renowned architects and designers, reproducing their
projects on glass. His works have appeared in numerous exhibitions
around the world. In recent years he has worked closely with his
brilliant son Stefano.
In 2019 he sadly passed away, leaving a
great void in the local and international community, as he was
undoubtedly a great artist and a great man. His son Stefano is already
picking up the baton.
