The decorative map shows the city of Antwerp in the year 1845. The steel engraving depicts the city, it's fortifications and the surroundings with high attention to detail. It is further enriched by view of the city in the upper part of the sheet and a small map of the surrounding area. It derives from Meyer's "Großem und Vollständigen Hand-Atlas der neuesten Erdbeschreibung", 1846.
