decorative open reticulated fruit or berry basket made by Herend,
This is a part of most popular Chinese
Bouquet collection. This item is in Green color (Apponyi vert). It features
motif of a peony surrounded by leaves. Basket has white background. Peony
has details in gold. The origin of the pattern is associated with Count
Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of Fleurs des Indes was
first prepared. The backside is marked with standard Herend blue mark used
since 1949. Other marking is mold number 7372/AV written in blue and 134 in
green. There is also incised ‘Herend’, 7372 and 8 on the backside.
Basket measures about 4 ½” in
diameter and stands about 1 ¾” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks
or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Please take a look at the
