• Eleazar Huntington was a calligrapher and engraver based in Hartford, Connecticut. He is known for his engraving of the Declaration of Independence, as well as maps, views, and poratits. He was the author of The America Penman, Comprising the Art of Writing, Plain and Ornamental, Etc., Hartford, 1825.



• He is credited on this map in a line below the title: "Engraved by E. Huntington," and the map was published in an atlas of classical geography, circa 1832.
