The author of lyrical series of landscapes, life portraits of I. Frank, V. Stefanyk, L. Ukrainka, I. Nechuy-Levytsky, P. Zhitetsky, M. Drahomanov, M. Lysenko and many others, Ivan Trush has also created about 250 large canvases, among some of them are paintings: "Sunset in the Forest", "Dnipro near Kiev", "Moonlight Night Over the Sea", "Taras Shevchenko's Tomb in Kanev", etc. The artist's creative work is a valuable contribution to the history of Ukrainian fine arts.
