Still life with silverware painting The painting is on a 12x16" stretched canvas and painted round the sides so it can be hung without a frame, or framed as you wish. (Please note that paintings will take slightly longer to dispatch during school half term holidays as I normally go away for a week.) I enjoyed the challenge of painting silver and its reflections. I was thinking about old still life renaissance paintings with their dark backgrounds and brightly lit subjects, but I wanted my painting to be a bit more 'rustic' and 'rough/distressed' looking.
