Product Description

Eliminate thumb fatigue by installing a Thumb Throttle Converter and transform your thumb throttle to a twist-style throttle. If you wish to use the factory thumb throttle while traversing steep, rocky or mountainous terrain, simply twist the Thumb Throttle Converter up and out of the way.

IMPORTANT! Existing handlebar grip will need to be removed for installation of the Thumb Throttle Converter. Heated Grips are NOT compatible with the Thumb Throttle Converter.

Installation Use & Care Owner's Manual

Installation Requirements

An existing thumb throttle.
A standard 7/8 inch diameter handlebar tubing.
At least 5 inches of available handlebar space.

IMPORTANT! The installation of this product may require that the installer have mechanical and/or electrical abilities. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us for assistance prior to your purchase.

Installation Instructions

Remove existing rubber grip from throttle side of handle bars. If glue or rubber residue is left on the handle bar, scrape if off.
If there is rubber sleeve on the existing thumb throttle it should be removed.
Loosen clamp bolts or screws on the thumb throttle housing so its slides in or out when gentle pressure is applied. This allows you to obtain clearance for free rotation of the Thumb Throttle Converter.
Slide Item 1 - Inner busing over the metal handle bar until it rests against the throttle housing, it may be necessary to use a screwdriver and pry the inner bushing gap open to get it started.
Slide Item 2 - Thumb Sleeve over the handle bar and the inner bushing. This should slide on without any resistance.
Position Item 2 with the Plastic thumb against your throttle lever and hold it in that position.
To install Item 3 the Outer Bushing. Spray a light coat of glue on the inside of Item 3, (we recommend “Duro All-Purpose” spray adhesive). Line up the alignment marks on Items 2 & 3. You may need to pry the gap open on Item 3 to get it started.
After bushing is started on the handle bar, tap into position, flush with end of metal handle bar with a block of wood and a hammer.
When properly installed Item 3 should be flush with the end of the handle bar. Item 2 should stick out slightly from the end on the handle bar. Check to see if the Thumb Throttle Converter rotates back and forth with ease.
If the throttle binds, gently tap Item 2 inward. This will properly position the existing throttle housing, which will give the appropriate amount of clearance within the Thumb Throttle Converter. The throttle should operate with ease. If the Thumb Throttle Converter seems too loose, tap the throttle housing outward to take up the slack. Again check to see if the Thumb Throttle Converter rotates freely.
After Thumb Throttle Converter is properly adjusted tighten the thumb throttle housing.
To install the rubber grip, spray inside of the grip with glass cleaner to lubricate. Slip textured grip over Item 2. The grip should go on with some resistance. Once grip is in place the cleaner will evaporate and the grip will remain in place.

Use Instructions

Careless or improper use of this product can cause serious or even fatal injury.

Prior to every ride, test the Thumb Throttle Converter from idle to full throttle to ensure free rotation and return to idle upon release of the throttle. Do not operate the vehicle if Thumb Throttle Converter does not rotate freely or return to idle upon release of the throttle
Restrict the use of this product to adult users who understand and can follow safety rules, precautions and operating instruction.
Do not handle or operate this product when you are fatigued, ill or upset or if you have taken alcohol, drugs, or medication. You must be in good physical condition and mentally alert.
Do not operate this product if it is damaged, improperly adjusted, or not completely and securely assembled.
Never modify this product in any way.
This product should not be used for any other purpose other than for which it is designed or intended. This product must not be altered, repaired or serviced by anyone other than the company or an authorized service center. The product must not have been subject to accident in transit or, while in the customer’s possession, misused, abused or operated contrary to the instructions included. This includes failure caused by neglect, commercial use and acts of God.
Full liability and responsibility for complying with all federal, state and local safety standards is assumed by any person or persons who modify this product in any way.
Follow all ATV manufacturers warning and guidelines.
You may wish to revert to factory thumb throttle when traversing steep, rocky or mountainous terrain.

Care Instructions

Following the maintenance and storage instructions below will help extend the life of this product.

Maintenance

Rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove loose dirt, then wipe with a clean cloth or sponge.
Replace this product with a new one if it is damaged or discolored excessively.

IMPORTANT! Never use harsh chemicals such as paint thinners, benzene, petroleum solvents or acid-based products to clean any part of this product.

Storage

To avoid mildew be sure that the mitts are completely dry before storing them for an extended period in an enclosed area.]

Tip! As with most man-made products, long-term exposure to sunlight will eventually cause fading and/or deterioration. If it is not possible for you to store this item indoors when not in use, you should consider covering it with one of our Storage Covers.

Below are the requirements we have regarding payments for items purchased from Things Sought After, Inc.

Address Requirements

We are required to ship your item(s) to the shipping address which is on the payment notification that we receive from eBay. Requests to change your shipping address after payment has been sent may not be accepted.

Please ensure that you provide the correct shipping address when paying for your item(s) or we may refund your payment, cancel the sale and have you purchase the item(s) again using the correct shipping address at time of payment.

eBay Checkout Requirements

The buyer must complete eBay checkout and provide payment within (8) days of committing to purchase an item. Otherwise, eBay will automatically open an unpaid item case on the buyer's account for non-payment. If this happens, the item(s) shall be considered forfeited and immediately made available to other buyers.

IMPORTANT! If eBay opens an unpaid item case against you for non-payment, you will have to contact them directly to resolve the issue as we have no control over this process.

Payment Method Requirements

Cancellation Policy

We accept order cancellation requests up until the point of shipping. Once an item has been shipped, the order cannot be canceled and our Return policy becomes effective immediately.

Shipping Policy

Except for circumstances beyond our control, we process all shipments within one business day (same day if payment is received before our cutoff time of 2:00 PM, Eastern Time, Monday-Friday).

IMPORTANT! The processing of your shipment may be delayed or canceled and your payment refunded if you have not replied to our requests for additional information. Things Sought After uses many different carriers and we reserve the right to ship your item(s) with the carrier of our choice using the service level that you select at time of purchase (e.g., ground, two day or overnight services).

IMPORTANT! If you do not receive US Postal Mail at the shipping address you provide with your payment, please let us know as soon as possible to avoid delays with your order.

Combined Shipping

If "Free Shipping" is not an available option for the item(s) you wish to purchase, we would happy to combine your item(s) into one shipment for reduced shipping costs whenever possible. After purchasing two or more of our items (but before paying for your order), please request that a combined shipping invoice be sent to you. We will combine the eligible items, recalculate the shipping cost and send an updated invoice to you.

Delayed Shipping Requests

You may request that we delay the shipment of your item(s) so that delivery coincides with your schedule however; not all items are eligible for our delayed shipment program, so please contact us in advance of your purchase to determine eligibility. If the items are eligible for delayed shipment, the maximum hold time is (30) days.

eBay Guaranteed Delivery

IMPORTANT! We do not guarantee delivery by a certain date unless you pay for expedited shipping. If you pay for expedited shipping and your item(s) do not arrive within the time allotted by the service level that you paid for plus our disclosed handling time, we will refund the cost you paid for shipping. This is our only guarantee with regards to guaranteed delivery time. Additionally, if you choose to return the item(s) because they did not arrive on time, the return shipping costs shall be at your own expense.

Estimated Delivery Date

Our items ship from various locations throughout the United States. As a result, the estimated delivery date displayed on the advertisement page may not be accurate. If you need the item(s) you've purchased by a specific day, please contact us for the most accurate estimation.

Insurance Coverage

All shipments are insured for damage during transit. If your shipment arrives damaged, please notify the driver of the damage, request that it be documented and file a claim with the carrier for reimbursement. If you need assistance filing a claim with the carrier please let us know.

IMPORTANT! The recipient is required to keep all packaging materials and the product(s) for inspection by the carrier or the carrier may deny your claim.

International Shipments

Below are the buyer requirements for shipments to anywhere outside of the contiguous United States of America:

The payment of a non-refundable processing fee. This fee will be included in your displayed shipping cost.
The recipient's phone number (and the buyer's if different) are required by the carrier before the shipment will occur.
International customers must confirm with your local customs office that the items being auctioned or sold are allowed to be imported into your country prior to bidding or buying. Things Sought After will not be held responsible for shipments that are rejected or confiscated after the shipment leaves the United States of America.

IMPORTANT! Taxes, import duties and customs clearance charges are the buyer's responsibility and will not be included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

PO Boxes

We understand that some of our customers would prefer to have shipments sent to their post office boxes instead of their physical street address. If you follow the directions below, we will do our best to accommodate these requests however; for various reasons, some of our items cannot be shipped to PO boxes and that is why the US Postal Service is not an option on all of our eBay advertisements.

If your PO Box is located in the same Zip code as your physical street address and you provide both addresses at time of payment as shown below, we will attempt to ship your item(s) to your PO box whenever possible. Simply put your PO Box info on address line #3 during checkout and if possible, we will choose this option rather than your physical street address when shipping.

Signature Requirements

Purchases that total more than $750.00 USD will require a signature at time of delivery.

IMPORTANT! Signature required delivery is limited to (3) delivery attempts. If the carrier is unable to obtain a signature, the shipment will be returned to Things Sought After and the buyer will have to pay additional shipping costs before the item(s) will be shipped again. If the buyer chooses to not have the item(s) shipped a second time, the transaction will be considered a return which shall be handled according to our return policy.

A shipment tracking number will be uploaded to your eBay account upon processing of the shipment.

Return Policy

Item Condition Requirements

During the return period indicated in this advertisement, we will accept the return of unused and undamaged items only. Items that are dirty, have been mishandled, installed on a vehicle or have any other signs of use are not returnable for a refund. Please use caution when handling the item(s) that we ship to you; making sure to keep the purchased item(s), all accessories and the retail packaging clean and undamaged.

Packaging Requirements

We require that you return all items, properly packaged (i.e., placed back into the retail packaging which is then placed into a sturdy outer box having sufficient padding for protection of the items during transit). IMPORTANT! Do not use the retail box/packaging as a shipping container. Otherwise, the shipment may be refused or a deduction may be applied to your refund amount.

TIP! Retain all supplied shipping materials until you're certain that you want to keep the item(s) purchased.

Manufacturing Defects

During the time frame indicated for returns in our eBay advertisement, we will exchange any defective item with an identical item. If an identical item is no longer available for exchange, we will offer an item of equal value or a refund upon return of the defective item; either option will be at our expense.

If an item is found to be defective after the time frame indicated for returns in our eBay advertisement, you will need to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer. If you need assistance filing a warranty claim, please let us know.

Return Authorization

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for all returns. If you need to return an item, please contact us before sending the item back so that we can provide you with the correct return address.

IMPORTANT! Upon your purchase of certain vehicle parts and accessories, we will request that you provide the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (a.k.a. VIN or Serial #) of your vehicle. If you choose NOT to reply and/or provide the requested information, the sale will become final and no return authorization will be issued after an attempted installation on your vehicle. Your manufacturer's warranty will remain in effect for the term specified in the warranty section of this advertisement.

Shipping Costs

All shipping costs are non-refundable whether they're included in the item price (i.e., free shipping) or paid for separately. Exception: If a buyer pays for a shipping service which has a guaranteed delivery date and the carrier fails to deliver on time, the cost for shipping will be refunded to the buyer within (30) days of delivery upon request.
