For sale is a NOS Hastings re-manufactured pressure plate. The pressure plate number is CA47599. It is a 77/8" diameter  diaphram  pressure plate as shown the above picture. . Hastings was a premium re-builder located in King, North Carolina. It was a family owned company that was opened in 1948 and forced to close in the late nineties. The Hastings Company  employed many town folks in King. They made the mistake of putting inventory in a multi-state auto parts chain based out of Chicago and never got paid. That was the end of a good company. I had a large inventory of Hastings remans when they closed. I have a few clutches discs and pressure plates left and I am putting them up for sale. The majority of these units are still sealed in the factory boxes. My listing shows this unit fits 1981-1993 Subaru 1.6 1400 series. Please check the attached fitment guide to be sure this unit will fit your vehicle., If you are looking for  American Made parts, made by old school craftsmen, as I do,  these will fit the bill. The market has been taken over by new Chinese units. My argument is sure the Chinese unit is new but it  still has to be put together by someone. Do you want yours put together by a experienced American craftsman or put together by an under paid China-man that has never seen a 1957 Chevy? This unit is a stock replacement unit, not a race piece. I will list some race units in late June.   Thanks for looking. The critical parts like the springs and eye bolts are new in the Hastings Units. I may keep the original box to help get the item in a more economical shipping box unless otherwise notified. This pp has been stored in the dry for about 19 years, the last few years it was in the dry but in a high humidity storage building. The pp was packaged with an anti-rust sheet of paper which was not installed properly so there is a small bit of surface rust that I have removed with steel wool. there is a dark stain where the rust was as seen in picture number 5. This should not affect form, fit, or function of this pp. It will be worn off in ten miles.Update this will fit two wheel drive vehicles only.  4X4s use a larger diameter unit.
