Products Description
Lightning Surge Protectors
Lightning surge protectors insulate your in-building cell phone signal amplifier from a lightning strike near your outside antenna. The surge protector's gas discharge element diverts a voltage spike to the ground wire (purchased separately) instead of down the coax cable to the booster.

Features of the 50ohm lightning surge protector
male connector on one end, female connector on the other end.
No jumper cable required: male end connects to antenna; female end connects to coax cable running to booster.
0-3000 MHz frequency range.
50 ohm impedance.
Attenuates below 0.2 dB.

How the 50ohm lightning surge protector is used
When properly installed and attached to a ground wire, this gas-discharge surge protector interrupts the spike in power from a nearby lightning strike, directing it to ground instead of to a cell signal booster.
Gas discharge element is replaceable.
For in-building use with 50-ohm cell signal booster systems and 50ohm coax cable terminated with male connectors.

Please note
Requires an additional ground cable (not included).
This product will not protect against a direct lighting strike to an antenna. If you are concerned about lightning strikes, we recommend installing a lightning rod suitable to your building.
