Made from 100% polyester, this versatile material is suitable for seating, furniture upholstery, vehicle interiors, headlining and a wide range of decorative projects.

Cutting and Working With the Fabric

Measure the required area carefully before cutting and allow additional fabric for seams, folds, edges and pattern positioning.

When joining multiple pieces, consider the direction of the velvet pile and the position of the diamond design so that adjoining sections have a consistent appearance.

Use needles, thread, adhesives and tools that are suitable for polyester upholstery fabric. We recommend testing your chosen sewing or bonding method on an offcut before beginning the finished project.

When fitting the material as vehicle headlining or interior trim, use an adhesive specifically designed for the intended surface, temperature range and application.

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash or use a cool wash only
  • Follow the care requirements of the completed upholstered item
  • Test cleaning products on a hidden area or spare piece first
  • Take care not to crush or damage the velvet surface during cleaning

Important Information

  • This fabric is not fire retardant and should not be used where certified fire-retardant material is required.
  • Buyers are responsible for confirming that the specification is suitable for their intended domestic, commercial or automotive application.
  • Velvet has a directional pile. The appearance and shade may change depending on the viewing angle, lighting and direction in which the pile is brushed.
  • Screen settings and lighting conditions may cause the displayed colour to vary slightly from the fabric received.
  • The embossed diamond design should be positioned and aligned before cutting where pattern placement is important.
  • Dimensions and thickness may be subject to normal manufacturing tolerances.
  • Measure carefully before cutting, as fabric that has been cut or altered may not be suitable for return.
