A drop point is an all-purpose blade and one of the most popular blade profiles in use today. The unsharpened back edge of the knife runs straight from the handle to the tip of the knife in a slow curved manner. The drop point is popular for hunting, fishing and skinning knives because of the controllable point and large slicing area of the knife belly.
