Being offered on this auction is
vase made by Rosenthal in Selb, Bavaria,
Germany. It is of famous now German Op-Art
line. Bjorn Wiinblad designed this vase in his
ever-popular Concertina series of Oriental Music. This vase features
reclining Scheherazade playing lute. The sparkling colors with gold
applications on white background make a perfect combination. Wiinblad’s
signature is written in gold below the picture. This vase is of Rosenthal
form ‘Duo’, one of the most successful shapes of the modern porcelain
design. Prominent Italian artist and designer Dr. Ambrogio Pozzi created
this shape. Pozzi has been working for Rosenthal since 1967. Duo brought
his International recognition. Vase is marked on the backside with standard
Rosenthal, Germany mark in green.
Vase measures about 2” in diameter
and stands 3 ¼” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips
found. Colors are bright and vibrant. There is original manufacturer’s
quality control sticker attached to the backside. Please take a look at the
