A lovely antique Victorian English, solid 9 carat gold mourning band ring. Beautifully made, with hand engraved channel for its inlaid band of woven hair, and set with a trio of graduated natural turquoise cabochons - these were added slightly later from a different piece so this is a marriage of band and stone section. It dates from around 1860 and is in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage. The slight discolouration to the edge of the main turquoise is normal and a sign of its natural origin. It weighs 1.7 grams, the band is 5 mm and its ring size is 8 US / P ½ UK - not resizeable.
