actually we should be using 5/16" ID hose. If inlet and outlet are straight tube(5/16"), when we install the hose to connecting the inlet/outlet, that it will be easily to pull-out and leakage. so the hose bard is bigger than hose ID, that will be safty! It is a standard spec
