A complete set of 718 wooden blocks and deadeyes for the standing and running rigging of the Revell USS Constitution model kit in 1:96 scale.
The complete set is also fully compatible with the Revell USS United States model kit in 1:96 scale. It contains 272 components for the standing rigging and 446 walnut blocks for the running rigging.
Wooden Rigging Blocks for a More Realistic Model
The supplied wooden blocks and deadeyes replace the simplified plastic rigging components included in the original model kit. Their shapes and dimensions provide a substantially more realistic appearance and are better suited to the character of a historic sailing ship.
The sizes and quantities were selected for the 1:96 scale models and correspond to the block positions shown in the Revell rigging plans. Their arrangement also takes account of the historical configuration of the ship’s standing and running rigging.
The complete selection provides the wooden blocks and deadeyes needed to construct both the standing and running rigging of either compatible model.
