Yamaha YBS-62 Baritone Saxophone

Yamaha's 62 series saxes have become modern classics and are used by leading professional musicians worldwide. Their strong, clear sound and excellent playability have set new standards in professional model saxophones. With its annealed bell and body, the 62 series baritone's metal has the optimal density for precise resistance and extremely accurate intonation to produce the highest quality of sound and a comfortable response.  Also, exclusive to Yamaha baritones, is the three-vent octave mechanism that eliminates fuzzy sound and unclear tones when playing G, G#, and A with the octave key. Then, to extract the most out of its advanced capabilities, Yamaha takes an organic approach to ergonomics. The saxophone keys are not simply shaped and positioned according to mechanical necessity; the entire system is designed from the player's perspective, with emphasis on comfort, speed, and overall playability. The natural feel of
the keys eliminates the need to adapt to an unnatural or uncomfortable
key layout and frees the player to unleash creative impulses.

Note that since 2020, the U.S. market Yamaha YBS-62 includes a mount at the bottom of the chassis to accept a floor peg, and that kit is designated YBS-62 II.
The Japanese market YBS-62 carries on with the floor mount as always,
however the floor peg is optional, so the Japanese kit
is designated just YBS-62.

This ad is for the Japanese kit, so the floor peg must be ordered
separately for an additional $160. If you need the peg,
