A complete set of 454 CNC-machined walnut blocks and deadeyes together with 82 black-patinated brass deadeye clamps, prepared for the rigging of the Revell CSS Alabama model kit in 1:96 scale.
The set contains the components required for both standing and running rigging and is designed to provide correctly proportioned, detailed replacements for the simplified parts supplied with the plastic model kit.

Total number of CNC-machined wooden blocks and deadeyes: 454 pcs. The two rope threaders and 82 brass clamps are additional components and are not included in this total.
Blocks Dimensioned for CSS Alabama
The selection and dimensions of the supplied blocks were prepared specifically for the rigging of CSS Alabama. The original rigging documentation and available historical plans were used to determine the appropriate block types and sizes.
The preparation also draws on technical information concerning the ship and its rigging, including material published by Andrew Bowcock in his work on CSS Alabama.
The block sizes correspond to their intended positions and functions within the standing and running rigging of the 1:96 scale model.

Black-Patinated Brass Deadeye Clamps
The set includes 82 photo-etched brass clamps for the deadeyes used in the standing rigging. The clamps are supplied with a black-patinated finish and are matched to the three deadeye diameters included in the set.

A twelve-page rigging plan showing the recommended positions and use of the supplied blocks is available from HiSModel.
The documentation covers the standing rigging, running rigging and the belaying-pin arrangement. The recommended block positions are marked directly in the corresponding parts of the plans.
The rigging documentation was prepared with reference to original plans associated with the museum collection in Greenwich.
