Wireless Music with AirPlay

Listening How You Like It

Nautilus tapering tubes

Not all sound is good sound. A5 features tube-loaded tweeters first seen on our flagship Nautilus™ speaker. Rear reflections in the cabinet are absorbed by the design, to ensure pure high frequencies.

Easy Setup

Getting a new A5 up and running in your home couldn't be easier. With the free Bowers & Wilkins AirPlay App, it’s a breeze to set up and manage. The app will walk you through the simple steps to connect your A5 to Wi-Fi, and choose and manage your settings, all wirelessly. Because we’re sure you'd rather be listening to great music than messing about with cables or flicking through manuals.

AirPlay® Compatibility

Apple's AirPlay wireless streaming technology works with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with iOS 4.3.3 or later, Mac with OS X Mountain Lion, or Mac and PC with iTunes 10.2.2 or later. A5 features both 802.11G wi-fi and an Ethernet port for direct, cable control and the free Bowers & Wilkins AirPlay app makes sure wireless connection is easy.

How do I connect Zeppelin Wireless to my network?

To play music to Zeppelin Wireless via either AirPlay or Spotify Connect, you must first configure the speaker to connect to a network. We offer the following methods for setup:

1.     Using the Bowers & Wilkins Control App.

Connect Zeppelin Wireless to your network by following the instructions within these apps.

2.     Owners of other devices, including Android, can setup Zeppelin Wireless using a web browser:

- Ensure Zeppelin Wireless is powered on with a pulsing green indicator.

- On your device, connect to the temporary Wi-Fi network called "ZeppelinWireless_Setup".

- Open a web browser and type "192.168.10.1" in the address bar. Wait for the Zeppelin Wireless web page to load.

- Give your Zeppelin Wireless a name and select which wireless network to connect the speaker to.

- Click the "Apply Now" button.

 


Can my Wireless Music System be connected to a network using a wired connection?

Using an Ethernet cable to connect Wireless Music System to a network

To connect your Wireless Music System to a network router using a wired connection (with Ethernet cable), please follow the instructions specific to your Bowers & Wilkins product in the list below:


A5, A7, Z2, Zeppelin Air:

Disconnect the power cable from the rear of your Wireless Music System.

​Connect an Ethernet cable between the router and the Ethernet connection at the rear of your Wireless Music System.

Reconnect the power cable on your Wireless Music System.

If your Wireless Music System has yet to have been setup (or has been reset) the indicator light will begin pulsing red and then change to flashing yellow. Once the indicator has begun flashing yellow press and hold your Wireless Music System's Vol + button. The indicator will turn solid purple once a wired network connection is established.

If your Wireless Music System is already configured to a network, the pulsing red indicator light will turn solid purple to show that a wired network connection has been established.

 

Zeppelin Wireless:

Connect Zeppelin Wireless to your computer with an Ethernet cable.

​Open a web browser and type "192.168.11.1" in the address bar. Wait for the Zeppelin Wireless web page to load.

Next to 'Device name', enter a new name for your speaker.

Next to 'Network settings', select 'Wired Ethernet' as your network interface.

Click the 'Apply now' button.

Unplug the Ethernet cable from your computer, and connect that same end to your network router, keeping the other end plugged into Zeppelin Wireless.

Zeppelin Wireless will turn solid green when it is successfully connected to the network.

NB: If Zeppelin Wireless needs to be moved to another location away from the computer used in this set up, unplug mains power, move Zeppelin Wireless to the new location, plug in the mains and plug in the Ethernet cable connected to the network router. Zeppelin Wireless will start up and establish a connection to the router via Ethernet.

 

How do I setup my speaker without the Control App?

Please follow the alternative setup instructions relevant to your product below.

Zeppelin Air, Z2, A5 and A7:

1.  Connect the power cable to the speaker.

2.  The LED should change from pulsing red to double flashing yellow. (this can take up to 1 minute)
   a.  If the LED does not change to double flashing yellow, press and hold the factory reset button located at the rear of the speaker for 10 seconds.
3.  Using an iOS device or PC/Mac, access the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the “Zeppelin/Z2/A5/A7_SETUP_XXX” network.
4.  Open the web browser on your device, for example Safari or Internet Explorer.
5.  Type 192.168.10.1 into the address bar at the top of the screen and press enter. The setup page will then load.
6.  Give the speaker a name.
7.  Choose your home Wi-Fi network and carefully type the password for the chosen Wi-Fi network.
8.  Press ‘Apply Now’.

The LED on the speaker will then begin to flash purple before turning steady purple to indicate a successful setup and Wi-Fi connection. Once the speaker is connected to you home Wi-Fi network it will be accessible by any Apple device for AirPlay streaming.

 
Zeppelin Wireless:

1.  Connect the power cable to the Zeppelin Wireless.

2.  The LED should change from pulsing red to a pulsing green. (this can take up to 2 minutes)
   a.  If the LED does not change to pulsing green, press and hold the factory reset button located at the rear of the Zeppelin for 10 seconds.
3.  Using an iOS/Android device or PC/Mac, access the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the “ZeppelinWireless_Setup” network.
4.  Open the web browser on your device, for example Safari or Internet Explorer.
5.  Type 192.168.10.1 into the address bar at the top of the screen and press enter. The setup page will then load.
6.  Give the speaker a name.
7.  Choose your home Wi-Fi network and carefully type the password for the chosen Wi-Fi network.
8.  Press ‘Apply Now’.

The LED on the Zeppelin Wireless will then begin to flash green before turning steady green to indicate a successful setup and Wi-Fi connection. Once the Zeppelin Wireless is connected to your home Wi-Fi network it will be accessible by any Apple device for AirPlay streaming and the Spotify app in iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows via Spotify Connect.


Regardless of the means of setup, if you are required to enter a password to connect to your wireless network, take time to check that this has been entered accurately. Please note that the password to connect to your home network is case sensitive. If you think you may have entered your password incorrectly, reset Zeppelin Wireless and restart the setup process.

Purchasing and Payment

All products offered for sale on eBay are in stock and the sale prices can only be purchased online using the methods of payment offered. We (SPEED ONLINE ) sell and deliver products in Australia only.

Pricing

The "RRP" prices which are quoted in the description of a product are our last recorded recommend retail prices.

Refund Policy

If a product has been delivered to you and you have opened the original product packaging then you have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Returns for refunds will only be accepted within 30 days from the date of purchase. You must return items in their original packaging and in the same condition as when you received them. If you don't follow the eBay’s item condition policy for returns, you may not receive a full refund. Shipping and handling costs are not refundable, there are 20% restock fee will be charged for such refund. If you have received free delivery then we reserve the right to deduct the cost of delivery from your refund amount.

Warranty

All warranty claims to be directed to the manufacturer.

Brand new products listed come with a 12 months return to base (RTB) warranty against manufacturing faults and defects. The some EOL products (but brand new), auction items, bonus (free) items and refurbished products may only have a limited warranty, please check the item descriptions.

The DOA (dead on arrival) item must be claimed (by email) within 3 days and the item must be sent back to us within 7 days from the date the customer has received the goods.

The Return Authorization (RA) number will be emailed to you for the DOA or the warranty claims, please return the item with the RA number and a copy of the purchasing invoice within 7 days.

A $30 handling fee will be charged to the customer if the warranty or the DOA item is found to be not faulty.

Buyers are responsible for all courier charges and insurance costs.

All orders will be shipped out via Australia Post or Couriers within 3 business days after the payment has cleared. Tracking Numbers will be provided to the customer when the parcel has been dispatched.
