Introduction of Several Kinds of leather?

1. Cordovan is an equine leather made from the fibrous flat muscle (or shell) beneath the hide on the rump of the horse. This is the highest quality leather where the surface has almost no hair duct similar to the sensation of touching a baby?s skin. It is formed by single strains of fibre, its fine grain and flexibility makes it resistant to markings. The richness of the leather reflects under the light and cordovan?s uniqueness and prestige making it the one of world?s best leather. The product is often pricy and is used commonly in the custom making of luxury items.

2. Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned using tannins and other ingredients found in different vegetable matter, such as tree bark prepared in bark mills, wood, leaves, fruits, and roots.It significantly helps to retain leather's original colour and shape. More importantly as time passes on the leather colour will slowly turn darker until it eventually becomes a dark brown colour. The longer you use it the smoothier and richer it becomes.

3. Harness leather also belongs to a type of vegetable tanned leather. The only difference is a large amount of honey wax is inputted during the tanning process therefore the leather contains a lot of wax. This wax will slowly seep to the outside leather to nourish the leather and lubricate it.

4. Tochigi leather is the leather that has been receiving high praise for its high-quality.Full vegetable tannin leather is made by using plant tannin with tanner?s pride and expertise. It is believed to bring up the natural beauty of the material to its best.

It requires at least 10 different process and stages to create this tannin leather, and is very labor intensive. However, no other methods can bring up the natural texture and beauty.
