Brand new T6 flange, cut in 12mm mild steel.
Holes are drilled to 8.5mm

Cutting Process Details
Items are cut using a Hypertherm CNC High Definition Plasma torch with a turret drill addition, it is a entirely different process when compared to the common CO2 laser.

Pro's
  • Higher capability and cutting speeds on thicker material (generally 8mm and up)
  • Less heat is being transferred into the material and minimal warpage when compared to the same part cut in 12mm steel
  • Drilling can be done on holes requiring tapping, removing the chance of the holes surface hardening from being laser cut.
  • TrueHole technology developed by Hypertherm allows for holes in thicker material to be remarkably well for bolt holes on head flanges. Example: A 10mm hole in 12mm steel cleanly done.
Con's
  • CO2 lasers use a beam of light to cut through steel creating a vertical edge, HD Plasma's use a combination of swirling gas and electricity to create a cutting arc. Leaving the cut edge with a smooth mil scale and a slight angle to it.
  • The machines large size and process type prevents its from achieving laser like etching or small fine cut designs on any thickness material.
  • Parts are somewhat dirty when compared side by side to a laser cut item.
At the end of the day my items are considered a workshop consumable designed to be used by fabricators making it possible to achieve better results in less time, bulk orders by workshops or individuals wanting a custom modification are welcomed.

Packaging and Postage Information

Items are sent with australia post, not because they are the best but because they will deliver to rural areas and P.O. boxes, the downside to this is items going to the NT and WA can have fluctuating delivery times i've found.
Items are all uploaded with a tracking code so at any time you can check on the Australia post website where your item was last scanned and when. Packaging of orders is done in the evening the day they are ordered, then sent out at 7am the following morning, any orders placed after 7am Friday EST will unfortunately be shipped on the following monday.

Sadly i do not offer international postage on any items.
Express post and combined orders are available via the options in checkout, please take the time to consider the options available before purchasing as reversing transactions is a slow and costly process.

If the options available aren't what you are looking for, feel free to contact me and i will promptly reply with a solution. I'm here to help get my parts to you.
