When you have to remove the nib and feed from a pen section, the knock out block is an essential tool.
First soak your section, this will soften the old hard ink around the nib.
Place the section with the nib downwards into the correct size whole for the nib.
Take one of the knockout rods that is just smaller than the feed that is showing and gently tap down with a small light weight hammer until the feed and nib slide out of the section.
Do not use this knockout block to remove nibs
that are threaded or screwed into the section.
The block is 3 ¼ inches (8.4cm approx) tall and 2 7/8 inches (7.3cm approx) in diameter.
There are 8 knockout holes ranging from 3.8mm to 11.2mm in diameter.
The 3 rods are stored in their own holes. Rod diameters are 3.3mm 4.7mm and 6.3mm in diameter. All rods are 3 ¾ inches (9.5cm) in length.
