This is the extremely pungent, delicious White Sage (Salvia apiana) from the coastal mountains of California. Used for burning on charcoal tablets and for blending your own loose incense. 

The smoke can be used to cleanse and purify people, objects, places and the home. 

Also known as Buffalo Sage, bee sage or simply sacred sage it is a favorite for smudging and blessing.
