This is a signed letter by Spencer M. King.


Spencer Matthews King (1917-1988) was an American diplomat
who served as the
U.S. Ambassador to Guyana, from 1969 to 1974.

King was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and served in
the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he
joined the Foreign Service, in which he served for about
twenty-five years. King was a longtime resident of Maine.


The letter
is about 10" by 8", and is typed on Embassy stationery

The letter is dated May 15, 1970, and is in very good condition.
