The latest version of Brian Tooley Racing's Stage 3 LS Truck Camshaft is an outstanding all-around performer, matching stock torque below 2500rpm and carrying a much broader powerband from there to the redline, peaking at 64hp above the stock 5.3L camshaft. This a great camshaft for a hot daily driver, and with proper tuning can be made to run with a stock torque converter, though a higher RPM stall is recommended for best performance. Idle lope will be similar to the Truck Norris.

The new BTR V3 Truck Camshafts are the result of their most extensive truck cam development program ever, delivering more average torque and horsepower under the curve - perfect for trucks that need strong midrange performance & enhanced towing capability.

The V3 cams use advanced valvetrain simulation and dynamic modeling tools along with Spintron development to guarantee reliable, stable valvetrain performance across all possible platforms. Next, BTR used engine and chassis dyno testing, using full-length truck exhaust systems and OEM-style intakes. Hundreds of dyno runs were performed to fine-tune cam timing, maximizing torque and efficiency across the RPM range.

These “Truck” cams receive the same engineering rigor and combustion development as BTR's race programs. No old catalog lobes! Plus, you're getting a 100% USA-designed & made product!

Camshaft only: This listing is for the BTR Stage 3 Truck V3 Camshaft by itself.

Note:

  • DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a conversion to conventional lifters
  • VVT engines will require a VVT elimination
  • If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3 bolt cam sprocket will be needed

The dyno test below was conducted on a stock Gen IV 5.3L with  stock 243 heads, TBSS intake, longtube headers and full length exhaust. Stock cam vs the BTR Stage 3 V3 cam.
