This mouthpiece was designed with input from trumpet and flugel artist Marty Bound (New York, NY). It was designed to meet the specific needs of pro players performing all-night gigs in jazz venues and on the Broadway stage. The rim is soft and round for comfort throughout extended playing. The inside diameter is .625", and the cup is shallow (similar to a Bach E). It has a slightly tight #28 throat, and a very focused backbore (Legends Manhattan). The lightweight blank doesn't add any extra mass to dampen the sizzle of the sound. These characteristics all work together to provide maximum support for extended upper register, lead, and solo parts.
