For Use with Forte Diesel IMV (Inlet Manifold Valve) Cleaner, or any Intake Cleaner.
This is to vary the amount of air, being sucked into the engine.
When the IMV cleaner is applied into the intake, with the engine running, it causes the engine revs to rise.
So the restrictor is used to control the engine revs, to avoid engine damage.
It also causes the IMV spray to swirl and vortex into the intake, which improves it's cleaning efficiency.
