How does it work?

The Push CMC stabilises the basal joint of the thumb (CMC-1) and places the thumb’s metacarpal (metacarpal 1) in a functional position. This creates a functional thumb arc, which remains stable while the hand is used. It relieves the pain when the thumb is under stress.

This method of stabilisation leaves the MCP-1 joint and the wrist free, to allow maximum functioning of the hand. For optimal performance, the aluminium core needs to fit closely to the thumb.

• Close hook and loop fasteners before washing.

• Machine wash up to 40°C in a delicates wash bag.

• Gentle spin cycle permitted.

• Hang to dry in open air away from direct heat.

• Check regularly for signs of wear before use.

• Use only as directed by a healthcare professional.
• Discontinue use if pain, numbness, skin irritation or discomfort occurs, and consult a healthcare professional.
• Do not apply over open wounds or broken skin.
• Ensure straps are not overtightened, as excessive compression may restrict circulation.
