Organic Unblanched Almonds

Ingredients: Organic Unblanched Almonds

Origin: Italy

Organic Unblanched Almonds are a source of vitamin E.

Organic Unblanched Almonds are one of the most popular nuts in the whole food world due to their calcium and vitamin E levels.  The almond is actually a seed grown in a deciduous tree which grows easily in Europe but is native to the Middle East, India and Africa.

Unblanched almonds have been shelled but undergo no other processing so still have the skin intact and are brown in colour.  Blanched almonds by comparison have been heat treated with water to remove the skin which reveals the white flesh of the seed.

We also stock whole Organic Blanched Almonds which can be blended with water and then strained to make homemade almond milk.  If you want to use almonds as a flour you can either grind them yourselves or for a finer result try our Organic Blanched Almond Flour.

Almonds are a great source of nutrition and are lovely used in baking or simply snacked on.  They can be blended with water and then strained to make homemade almond milk.  If you want to use them as a flour you can either grind them yourselves or for a finer result try our Organic Blanched Almond Flour.

If you want to try our organic almonds as part of a mix then try our Organic Trail Mix.
