Jacquard woven wall hanging after the Bayeux Tapestry, depicting scenes from the Norman landing and the advance to Hastings. The design combines three episodes from the original — Duke William's crossing, the horses disembarking at Pevensey (Hic exeunt caballi), and the scout reporting to King Harold (Nuntiat Haroldum rege de exercitu) — recomposed as a single continuous field, with the decorative borders adapted to suit. Woven in Belgium in cotton and cotton-blend yarns, and hand finished.
