The valve stem Oil Seal does an important job.
It stops excess oil passing in t the combustion chambers but allows for the correct lubrication of the valve so stops wear.
So we recommend you only use genuine seals such as these manufactured in Japan.
If you do wish to rebuild your new bare head using old valves you will definately need these.
Then you can save much money by just purchasing a head gasket as you will not need the whole kit.
