Two Years Before The Mast is a memoir by the American author Richard Henry Dana, Jr. originally published in 1840, having been written after a two-year sea voyage from Boston to California on a merchant ship starting in 1834.

The front board is only still connected by a very small thread.  

Overall, the book is Fair Condition.  The boards have some damage - with cracks, stains and scuffing.  The corners are bumped and dented.  The spine is cracked and has some chips in it and it is scuffed at the top and the bottom.  The edges are all scuffed and coming apart.

Internally, there is 483 pages.  There is wear, foxing, spotting and browning to the pages.  The edges have some nicks and tears and there are creases in some of the corners.  Writing on the front end page
