Condition: Just one available and pictured above! It's NIP (or, New Inside Packaging) from the 90's with Packaging in "Used" condition, sold As-is with flaws from the original store, subsequent storage, etc. May have bumped corners, malformations & rough edges, dings, box cuts, scrapes & scuffs, stickers & residue, old broken tape, etc. It's unknown to me whether or not the item is in working order.
Dimensions: Packaging: approx. 10 1/4 x 2 1/2 x 7 3/8 inches.
Origin: Discovered in New Jersey; Collector's estate handled by S&S Furniture Auction in Repaupo, NJ.
Features: Earthworm Jim's Main Squeeze -- Or So He Thinks!
Background: Earthworm Jim is a run and gun platform video game featuring an earthworm named Jim in a robotic suit who battles evil. Created by Doug TenNapel and designed by David Perry, the game was developed by Shiny Entertainment and Playmates Interactive Entertainment. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in 1994, and subsequently ported to a number of other video game consoles.
The game was noted for its fluid, cartoon-like animation. It received a positive reception, and led to a sequel, Earthworm Jim 2, in 1995. 15 years later, Gameloft developed a high definition remake for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, titled Earthworm Jim HD, in 2010.
