Description

The Legends L-BL3 has a semi-flat rim that is very soft and has a nice comfortable inside roundness. The high alpha angle lends a gentle slope into the cup, and there is some undercut for chop room. The cup is shallow. The entrance to the throat is tight, which allows higher efficiency of air flow. Slotting is excellent with the L-BL3. These design elements combine to maximize endurance, range and sound for the player. The L-BL3 is perfect as an upper register lead mouthpiece.

This piece has been described as being similar in feel to some of the smaller Monette pieces. IT IS NOT A COPYof any of these pieces, it just has a similar rim and cup. The L-BL3 has the Legends enhanced throat (#28), throat cylinder length, and Legends S backbore, and a HUGE SOUND!

This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
